About us

Street Croft Farm is a family-run regenerative farm in Herriard, south of Basingstoke. At weekends we open our farm shop and café, welcome families to meet the animals, and host events through the year. The café serves proper coffee (including Moonroast from Preston Candover), cakes and light bites with views over the fields.

The role

Fancy joining our team as a barista? We need someone warm and reliable for weekend café service: great coffee, happy customers and a smooth run alongside the kitchen and shop team.

What you will do

• Make espresso-based drinks, tea and seasonal soft drinks to a consistent standard.
• Serve customers at the counter with a friendly, unhurried welcome.
• Help with café front-of-house tasks (clearing tables, restocking, simple food service where needed).
• Work with the team on busy weekend days from open to close.
• Keep the coffee station and customer areas clean and presentable.

About you

• Barista experience helpful but not essential; an interest in serving real coffee matters. Strong hospitality background and willingness to learn also welcome.
• Available for weekend hours when we are open to visitors.
• Customer-focused, organised and happy working outdoors in our seating areas when it is busy.
• Comfortable in a small, family-run team (we are not a high-street chain).
• Food hygiene awareness (certificate a plus).

• When: Weekend hours required (Saturday and Sunday when the farm is open).
• Where: Street Croft Farm, 3 Parsonage Cottage, Herriard, Basingstoke RG25 2PQ.
